ABOUT KRISTIN ROSS LAUTERBACH & CHRISTINA LEE STORM Kristin
Ross Lauterbach
is a film director with a wide variety of
professional experience directing both short-length and feature-length
films. Kristin has a
particular interest in social and human right issues, which she has used
to promote awareness and provide relief for people who are suffering
around the world. After
completing a degree in Media Communications from Asbury College, Kristin
moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in filmmaking. Lauterbach’s selected short-length documentaries include: Emthonjeni: South Africa, a profile of a settlement outside of Johannesburg, and Help Haiti Heal, which shows the devastating effects of the 2008 flooding in Haiti, and Stefanie's Story a story of a young girl who died of AIDS and how she shared her life experience through her poetry. Kristin
has done production and editing with and for many major film studios, to
name a few, Fox, Warner Brothers, and Miramax and she has sold her work
to Lionsgate and her current documentary Flesh is currently being
considered for the Toronto film festival. FLESH statement Kristin and Christina began the feature-length documentary, Flesh, in 2006 in coordination with Women Make Movies. This film is an exploration of the widely overlooked, yet widespread, practice of sex trafficking in the United States. She was compelled to explore this underground world in United States after reading an article about the sex trade in Thailand. Her desire to better understand the sex market in the United States has lead to a provocative film that challenges the viewer to rethink, prostitution and the commercial sex trade. ABOUT CHRISTINA LEE STORM Christina
is an alumnus of the prestigious Act One: Writing for Hollywood program.
She is a member of the Producers Guild of America and serves on the
National Board of Directors as well as the AP Council Delegate. She is
also the guild’s country representative for Hong Kong and China and is
in charge of developing alliances in the region. Christina has been a
participant in the PGA Diversity Workshop Program and was one of five
finalists in the motion picture category.
